 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  Niger Tanker Explosion Death Toll Rises to 98


The death toll from the Dikko tanker explosion has increased to 98, with 69 others injured and 20 shops destroyed, according to the Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA).


The agency's Director-General, Alhaji Abdullahi Baba-Arah, confirmed the updated figures in a statement issued on Monday in Minna.


The explosion occurred on Saturday morning around 9 a.m. along the Dikko-Maje road near Baddegi fuelling station in Gurara Local Government Area. The tragedy unfolded as Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) was being transferred from a crashed tanker to another. The fuel ignited after coming into contact with a generator used in the process, triggering a devastating explosion.


The incident resulted in significant loss of life, injuries, and property damage worth millions of naira.


Authorities, including the Niger State and Federal Government, have expressed condolences to the victims' families and pledged support for those affected.


The state government also urged the Federal Government to expedite the Minna-Suleja road project, citing it as a contributing factor to frequent accidents in the area.
