 Beloved actor Ras Ajai, 47, 'shot dead' while walking down a street A beloved film star and musician has di£d. Ras Ajai, whose real name was Brian Todd Boucher, played JLP political enforcer Claudie Massop in the 2024 film Bob Marley: One Love biopic. He was reportedly shot in Waterford, St. Catherine, Jamaica, at the age of 47. He rubbed shoulders with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle when they arrived at the movie's Jamaican premiere. Another person is reported to have sustained injuries during the assault, which remains under investigation by St Catherine South Police. Sources say the reggae and dancehall artist, vocalist and composer was walking down a street with a companion on Saturday, August 1, when they were attacked by armed criminals travelling in a vehicle.  In a shocking case of animal cruelty, Bengaluru police have arrested a man for allegedly sexually assaulting and mutilating a stray dog. The horrifying incident came to light when Vidya, a local animal lover who regularly feeds strays, found the injured dog and rushed it to safety.  


The distressing condition of the dog prompted immediate intervention, with animal welfare activists and concerned citizens demanding strict action. Police launched an investigation based on Vidya’s report, leading to the suspect’s arrest. Authorities are now examining the full extent of the abuse and considering stringent legal action.  


The case has sparked outrage across social media, with calls for harsher punishment for crimes against animals. Activists argue that such cruelty highlights the urgent need for stronger animal protection laws and stricter enforcement.  


Meanwhile, the rescued dog is receiving medical care and is on the path to recovery. Animal rights groups continue to push for justice, ensuring such heinous acts do not go unpunished.
