Plateau: They’re preparing ground for 2027, adopt Trump’s approach – Fani-Kayode urges Nigerian govt

Former Nigerian Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has urged the federal government of Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu to adopt the approach of the US leader, Donald Trump, by sealing the country’s borders.

Fani-Kayode stated this while reacting to the incessant killings in Nigeria and particularly Plateau State.

DAILY POST reports that there were recent brutal assault on Zilkke village in the Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau, during which gunmen killed over 50 people, injuring scores — including women and children — and razing more than 40 houses.

The attack followed just two weeks after similar violence in Bokkos LGA that claimed over 80 lives.

Subsequently, Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, then called on residents of Zilkke village in the Bassa Local Government Area to remain vigilant and defend themselves amid recurring attacks by suspected criminal elements.

However, speaking on the development, Fani-Kayode said the killings were being sponsored by foreign elements in a bid to destabilise Nigeria and prepare ground ahead of the 2027 general election.

In a video post on his verified X account, Fani-Kayode said: “Here we go again, more killings in Nigeria and in particular Plateau State, all being orchestrated by the usual suspects from outside the country sending people from north Africa and the Sahel region to come and slaughter our people.

“They are slaughtering both Christians and Muslims, including northerners and southerners. They are doing this now simply because they want to destabilise Nigeria and discredit the government. This was orchestrated and the same thing happened in 2014 prior to Jonathan’s defeat the next year.

“They are doing this now, preparing ground for 2027. We know who they are, these are foreign elements from the west including Israel and a number of others because they don’t want a stable and peaceful Nigeria or for our people to succeed in their democracy endeavours.

“These are all planned in an attempt to divide us and plunge us into a senseless civil war to be killing our selves as brothers while the real enemy comes from outside the country who do not wish us well.”

He added, “We should adopt the approach of President Donald Trump by sealing the borders and stop these people who have no business being here from coming. Let’s do what Donald Trump is doing by building prisons for them and most importantly eliminate them.

“God’s will shall be done and Nigerians, both Christians and Muslims from the north and south will stand as one.”
