 TROOPS APPREHEND SUSPECTED TERRORIST COLLABORATORS, FAMILY OF ISWAP FINANCE CHIEF SURRENDERS, RECOVER LOGISTICS ITEMS Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have continued to sustain pressure on  terrorists through series of intelligence-led operations that resulted in the arrest of suspected terrorist collaborators, the surrender of the family members of a senior ISWAP commander, and the recovery of terrorist logistics items. In one of the operations conducted on 27 July 2026, troops of 5 Brigade arrested six ISWAP collaborators in Damasak, Borno State. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly generating funds for the terrorist group through the procurement and sale of cattle at designated markets in Gubio, Damasak and Ajuwango. Items recovered from the suspects included one Volkswagen Golf vehicle, vehicle keys, four mobile phones of different brands, cow meat and the sum of ₦317,950.00. A TEXAS MAN ATTACKED HIS MOTHER WITH A HAMMER AND THEN TALKED ABOUT IT ON A GAMING PLATFORM. (PHOTO).

 A Texas man attacked his mother with a hammer and then talked about it on a gaming platform. 


24-year-old Robert Babin carried out a brutal attack on his mother on Wednesday, June 11th. After carrying out the attack, Babin allegedly took to an online gaming platform to confess to the crime and ask for advice.


According to court documents, Babin said he was "in trouble and needed help". He went on to say he hit his mother a few times on the side  of the head with a hammer and "didn't want to end up on death row". 


The friend advised Babin to call the police before he presumably contacting authorities himself. 


When officers arrived at the Harris County  Texas home, they discovered Babin's 64-year-old mother unresponsive and showing severe injuries on her head in the backyard. Robert was not home when police arrived but a short time later he arrived at the scene. He told police he had went to the store and his mother was napping before he left.


The 64-year-old victim was taken by helicopter to a nearby hospital where she remains in serious condition. 


We do hope she has a full recovery. 


Robert Babin was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He remains in custody.
