 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Pastor Paul Adefarasin Under Investigation Over Viral Video, Turns Himself In to Lagos Police


The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that Pastor Paul Adefarasin, founder of House on the Rock Church, has voluntarily presented himself for questioning at the Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja. The development follows a viral video circulating online, which allegedly shows the pastor holding a gun-like object during a roadside encounter, according to a statement posted on the Command’s official X account on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.


The video, which sparked widespread debate on social media, depicts Adefarasin holding a metallic object while interacting with a passerby who appeared to be recording the incident. The clip also raised questions about the pastor driving an unregistered vehicle. 


The Lagos State Police Command emphasized that “no one is above the law” and confirmed that detectives have launched a full investigation into the matter. The outcome of the investigation will be made public, the statement added.


In response to the allegations, Pastor Adefarasin addressed his congregation via his verified social media pages, denying claims that he brandished a firearm. He described the incident as a misunderstanding, clarifying that the object in question was not a gun and was not pointed at anyone.


The investigation continues as authorities seek to clarify the circumstances surrounding the viral video.
