A 14-year-old Ohio girl has taken her own life, and her family believes that social media played a role. Szedi Roush sadly took her own life on Friday, June 12th. The loss of such a young and vibrant life has left the Blanchester, Ohio community shocked and filled with grief as they struggle to make sense of her passing.  Szedi was a student at Blanchester High School, where she was very active in sports and, by all outward appearances, a happy and outgoing teen. However, Szedi's family says there was a side to her kept hidden from her family. Despite being hidden from family, Szedi posted about her feelings  on TikTok.  Rivers State Budget Proposal Aligns with Development Plan, Amid Emergency Governance

The proposed budget for Rivers State aligns with the strategic objectives of the Rivers State Development Plan 2017-2027, according to the state’s sole administrator. Speaking on Wednesday, he highlighted that the budget presents a strategic and integrated framework aimed at boosting revenue, accelerating infrastructure development, enhancing human capital, and fostering inclusive economic growth across all sectors.

The administrator also addressed the ongoing state of emergency, noting, “In anticipation of the eventual return to constitutional order, the draft budget prudently retains provisions for the offices and functions of suspended political actors, some of whom have already drawn on allocated resources in the first quarter and are expected to resume their duties at the expiration of the emergency period.”

However, challenges persist, as the administrator accused state government officials of failing to provide his administration with sufficient information to fully account for all expenditures. This comes amid a six-month state of emergency declared by President Bola Tinubu on March 18, which led to the suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara and other officials.
