 TROOPS APPREHEND SUSPECTED TERRORIST COLLABORATORS, FAMILY OF ISWAP FINANCE CHIEF SURRENDERS, RECOVER LOGISTICS ITEMS Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have continued to sustain pressure on  terrorists through series of intelligence-led operations that resulted in the arrest of suspected terrorist collaborators, the surrender of the family members of a senior ISWAP commander, and the recovery of terrorist logistics items. In one of the operations conducted on 27 July 2026, troops of 5 Brigade arrested six ISWAP collaborators in Damasak, Borno State. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly generating funds for the terrorist group through the procurement and sale of cattle at designated markets in Gubio, Damasak and Ajuwango. Items recovered from the suspects included one Volkswagen Golf vehicle, vehicle keys, four mobile phones of different brands, cow meat and the sum of ₦317,950.00.  WHATSAPP MONETIZATION FEATURES TO ROLL OUT GLOBALLY 


Meta has perfected plans to roll out Whatsapp monetization globally very soon. Under the Llama impact grant, users will be able to earn money via their WhatsApp features.


According to Meta, three new features will now be added to the Updates tab (which already accommodates Status and Channels) to make the monetization possible.


So the Updates tab will now have Channel Subscriptions - for exclusive updates; Promoted Channels - for discoverability; and Ads in Status - for business visibility.

 

“We’ve been talking for years about how to build a business on WhatsApp in a way that doesn’t interrupt personal chats," Meta revealed. "We believe the Updates tab is the right place to introduce that."


With more than 1.5 billion users, Whatsapp creators, organizations, and businesses will now be able to earn money on the communication platform.
