  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. FIVE SUSPECTS HAVE BEEN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH THE KIDNAPPING OF A 42-YEAR-OLD UGANDAN WOMAN IN LIMPOPO. (PHOTO).

 Five suspects arrested following kidnapping pf Ugandan woman in Limpopo 


Five suspects have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping of a 42-year-old Ugandan woman in Limpopo. 

The victim was rescued unharmed during a swift and coordinated operation led by the SAPS Provincial Organised Crime Unit.


The incident took place on Tuesday, 15 July 2025, in Atok village under the Apel policing area, Sekhukhune District. According to police, the woman was accosted by armed suspects driving an unmarked Toyota Hilux double cab. She was forcefully taken and transported to a house in the Mecklenburg policing area, where she was assaulted and tortured.


The suspects later contacted a relative of the victim and demanded a ransom for her release. Police were alerted on Thursday, and a multidisciplinary team was quickly assembled to track the suspects.


In the early hours of Friday, 18 July 2025, the suspects instructed that the ransom be delivered at Apel shopping mall. Police intercepted the group upon arrival and arrested all five suspects. The victim was safely rescued.


A firearm with ammunition, cellphones, and the victim’s bank card were recovered at the scene.


The suspects, three women and two men aged between 25 and 36, are South African nationals. They face charges of kidnapping, attempted murder, and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. They are expected to appear in the Sekhukhune Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 21 July 2025.
