 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  SIX FAMILY MEMBERS LAID TO REST AFTER TRAGIC CRASH


A heart-wrenching funeral service was held for six family members who tragically lost their lives in a horrific car accident on the R42 Meyerton-Heidelberg Road earlier this week.


The victims, all from Unitaspark in Vereeniging, were laid to rest on Saturday following an emotional ceremony attended by devastated relatives, friends, and community members. The family had been returning from a funeral in KwaZulu-Natal when their vehicle, a white Ford Focus, collided with a truck at around 15:30 on Monday afternoon.


The deceased were identified as:

 • David Khehla Malindi (68)

 • Anna Malindi (61)

 • Mhlanganisi Malindi (35)

 • Phindile Malindi (33)

 • Xolani Bocibo (27)

 • Lwandle Malindi Tshabalala (3)


The loss has sent shockwaves through the local community, with many expressing their deep condolences and calling for improved road safety measures on the busy route.
