Lagos police launch investigation as jeweller  accuses its officers of harassment The Lagos State Police Command said it has commenced an investigation into a viral video of a jeweller accusing some policemen in the Festac area of the state of harassing him.  The command disclosed this in an X post on Saturday. The video, which circulated on X on Saturday morning, shows the businessman engaged in a struggle with some policemen. Later in the video, the businessman could be seen with a bloody face after allegedly sustaining a cut beside his right eye during the struggle with the police officers,  The jeweller later explained that the policemen from the Festac Division had stopped him for a routine search. Renowned celebrity fashion designer Toyin Lawani has shared a personal and emotional experience on social media, expressing her disappointment and frustration with a recent encounter.

Lawani on Instagram, described the incident as the most traumatic experience of her life, referencing selfishness and a lack of professionalism as the primary causes of her distress.

She emphasised her dedication to her craft, pinpointing her humility, gentleness, and passion for perfection.

She stressed the importance of collaboration and respect among creatives, condemning the actions of those who seek to sabotage others in their line of work.

Lawani wrote, “I just had the most traumatic experience of my life. I have been working for the past 25 years as a celebrity stylist. I don’t think I’ve come across such selfishness before in my life, I am extra nice, humble and gentle until you poke me. I put in my sweat and hardwork in everything I do in my life,

“I’m extremely passionate and I work and strive for perfection and I go far beyond what I’m paid for, but there’s a line between wickedness.

“EGO, and Pride, And all This you must leave at the door when working with others to achieve perfection results,to everyone who knows me, I’m the most humble selfless human being you can ever meet and I give everyone Respect because that’s how I also want to be treated. It’s so shameful how some creatives try to sabotage each other in the line of their work. Such a big shame”.
