 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  2026 WCQ: Super Eagles must beat Rwanda, South Africa – Chukwueze


Samuel Chukwueze has said it is important for the Super Eagles to win their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa, DAILY POST reports.

Eric Chelle’s men currently sit in fourth position in Group C with seven points from six games.

Bafana Bafana of South Africa top the standings with 13 points from the same number of matches.

Chukwueze claimed winning both games will boost the Super Eagles’ chances of securing a place at the global soccer fiesta.

“For now I am just focusing on the game. We need the two games, Rwanda and South Africa. So, I think we have to win the two games to secure our World Cup ticket,” the winger told Fulham TV after completing his loan move from AC Milan.

Chukwueze is expected to hit camp on Tuesday (today) for the crucial qualifiers.

Nigeria will welcome Rwanda in a matchday seven fixture at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Saturday.

The West Africans will keep a date with South Africa three days later in Bloemfontein.
