 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. Howard Stern has postponed his return to his SiriusXM show, which was originally scheduled for Tuesday, amid ongoing speculation about the future of the program. The legendary radio host has been off the air since late July for his annual summer break, and the summer months have seen heightened attention on his contract negotiations and possible exit.

In August, British tabloid The Sun reported that Stern’s show might end due to difficulties reaching a new contract with SiriusXM. The Stern Show’s X account amplified the rumors with a video teasing multiple possibilities: “Fired? Retiring? Canceled? Bye-Bye Booey? Howard Stern will speak.” The announcement was initially slated for Sept. 2, but on Tuesday morning, the show’s X account updated fans, saying Stern will now reveal his plans on Sept. 8.
