  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  Five Suspects Arrested Following Series of Robberies


Five suspects, aged between 19 and 30, were arrested on the N4 Road near the Kanyamazane turn-off on Saturday, 06 September 2025. Police recovered two firearms, several mobile phones, and other stolen items during the arrest.


The breakthrough follows two robbery incidents earlier in the day. The first took place at a church in Ngwenyeni near Komatipoort around 03:30 in the morning. During the attack, a 14-year-old boy was injured when the suspects fired shots. He was taken to hospital for medical treatment.


The second robbery occurred at a tavern in Madadeni, also near Komatipoort, in the Nkomazi area.


Meanwhile, in a separate incident on Friday evening, 05 September 2025, a 22-year-old suspect was fatally shot after allegedly robbing congregants at a mosque in Kwaggafontein. During the incident, three victims were shot and sustained injuries.


The arrested suspects are expected to appear at the Kanyamazane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 08 September 2025. They will face charges including possession of unlicensed firearms and possession of suspected stolen property, among others.
