Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. Previous attempts to move the case forward were blocked because the claims were made years after the alleged incidents, with courts initially ruling that the delayed discovery doctrine did not apply. 5 arrested in investigation of Robert De Niro’s grandson Leandro’s overdose death

Two years after the death of Robert De Niro’s 19-year-old grandson, Leandro Anthony De Niro-Rodriguez, authorities have arrested five more individuals in connection with the case, law enforcement officials confirmed.

Leandro was found dead on July 2, 2023, from an apparent accidental drug overdose. The suspects, all men, are facing charges of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances resulting in death. A sixth person, Sofia H. Marks, had been arrested shortly after the incident for allegedly selling drugs to Leandro.

DEA New York Special Agent in Charge Frank Tarentino said the arrests are intended to provide some closure for grieving families and highlight the dangers of social media platforms being used to distribute fentanyl-laced counterfeit pills. “Whether you deal on the screens or in our streets, the DEA and our law enforcement partners remain committed to targeting those responsible. This is a fight to save lives,” he stated.

Leandro’s mother, Drena De Niro, expressed her grief publicly after her son’s passing, describing him as her “joy, my heart, and all that was ever pure and real” in her life. Leandro had appeared in the 2018 film A Star Is Born, playing the son of Bradley Cooper’s character’s friend, as well as in Cabaret Maxime. He was 19 years old.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity.
