Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. DOUG MARTIN REPORTEDLY JUMPED FROM SECOND STORY OF REHAB CENTER MONTHS BEFORE HIS DEATH. (PHOTO)

Professional American star Doug Martin reportedly jumped from second story of rehab center months before his death

Doug Martin reportedly experienced a serious mental health crisis months before his death, with new reports claiming he jumped from a second-story window at a rehab center and became involved in a physical altercation with police officers.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Martin was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold in August after checking into Tranquility Rehab Center in Castro Valley. Authorities say he tested positive for cocaine and methamphetamines upon arrival. During his stay, Martin allegedly left the facility without permission multiple times and was later found outside dancing with his hands covered in blood. A supervisor reportedly believed he had jumped from a second-story window and punched the side of the building.

Police responded to the scene and asked Martin if he was armed; he reportedly replied, “Kinda,” without clarifying. When officers attempted to search him, he resisted, and authorities allegedly found three bags of cocaine and a 12-inch chef’s knife on his person. Martin was subsequently placed on a 72-hour psychiatric hold. The Chronicle notes that any potential charges were likely to be reviewed by a prosecutor, though it is unclear if that occurred before his death.

Martin passed away at age 36 while in police custody following a break-in at an Oakland home. His family had called for medical assistance after he became disoriented and entered a neighbor’s house. Police said a brief struggle occurred during his detainment, after which Martin became unresponsive. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
