 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Madugu, Moshood, Super Falcons nominated for CAF awards

Super Falcons head coach, Justine Madugu has been nominated for the CAF Coach of the Year award for 2025.


Madugu guided the Super Falcons to win a record-extending 10th title at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco this summer.


The Super Falcons defeated the hosts 3-2 in the final of the competition.


Nine other coaches are also in the running for the award


Flamingos captain, Shakirat Moshood is also nominated for the Young Player of the Year award.


Moshood will lead the Flamingos at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.


The Super Falcons are in the running for the National Team of the Year.
