 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Sultan Of Sokoto  Sa'ad Abubakar Urges Muslims To Project Nigeria's Unity


Sultan of Sokoto and Chairman Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Muhammed Sa'ad Abubakar III at the council's Expanded General Purpose Committee Meeting holding in Abuja urged Muslim faithful to

show actions that will sustain and project unity in Nigeria. 


As a religious body,  he reiterated commitment on behalf of other leaders to play a positive role in addressing the current challenges of negative commentaries about the religious status of Nigerians.


He cautioned the  use of social media as a tool for propaganda, propagating personal negative narratives about Nigeria. 


Also at the meeting is the Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris, who says the desire of the current administration is not to build a nation through guns but by saying the truth.


Recent happenigs within the past few days where some people had alleged Nigeria as a country of religious intolerance the Minister said is Fake news that is endangering  democracy.


He unequivocally stated the position of President Bola Tinubu to  preserve the unity and respect the sovereignty of Nigeria assuring that all diplomatic channels activated are working towards building peace and security in Nigeria.
