Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. Previous attempts to move the case forward were blocked because the claims were made years after the alleged incidents, with courts initially ruling that the delayed discovery doctrine did not apply.  A 54-year-old California man did the ultimate Dad move, clinging to life until the second his son was safe.

This story is truly heartbreaking and shows the depth of love some fathers have, as he disregarded his own safety and ultimately his own life, to ensure his son was okay.

When officers arrived on the scene after hearing reports of screams and someone distressed on the water, they witnessed the heroic strength that comes with love.

As first responders rushed to render aid, they spotted a young child clinging to a partially submerged adult. The child was clearly in distress and being kept from slipping under by his father's last reserves.

This tragic incident occurred at Lake Perris State Recreation Area near Moreno Beach. Officers received the distress call a little after 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 6th.

According to reports, the father and son duo had been enjoying a pleasant Saturday, Kayaking on the lake. Suddenly, their kayak capsized, sending both into the water.

Neither father nor son was wearing a life jacket at the time of the incident. The father did the only thing he could. He used every last bit of his strength to keep his son above water.

When first responders arrived, they quickly pulled the pair from the water.  The father was unconscious when he was pulled from the lake. Authorities worked relentlessly to try to resuscitate the man. They administered CPR for roughly 45 minutes.

The father and son were rushed to Riverside University Health system, where the father was pronounced deceased. The 7-year-old boy is expected to make a full recovery.

Investigators are calling the father a hero for his life-saving efforts despite in the face of his own demise.

Our thoughts are with this young boy who is now going to grow up without his dad who obviously loved him more than life itself.
