 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. CP GIWA FELICITATES NDỊ ENUGU STATE ON CHRISTMAS COMMEMORATION, URGES CELEBRATION IN LOVE, PEACE, AND BROTHERLINESS


The Commissioner of Police, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, psc, has extended warm felicitations to the Government and good people of Enugu State, particularly Christians, as they celebrate this year’s Christmas, which commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ.


The Commissioner of Police described Christmas as a momentous annual celebration that reminds humanity of the purpose of the birth and advent of Jesus Christ to the world, which is to bring salvation, hope, love, and redemption to believers. He urged Christians to celebrate with this consciousness, showing love, charity, and kindness to one another, especially to the needy, while remembering that Christ is the reason for the season.


CP Giwa further reiterates the unwavering commitment of the police to ensure the safety and security of all residents of Enugu State and visitors throughout the festive period. While wishing all a merry and joyous Christmas, he enjoins citizens to remain law-abiding and vigilant while celebrating and to promptly report suspicious persons or criminal activities.
