 TROOPS APPREHEND SUSPECTED TERRORIST COLLABORATORS, FAMILY OF ISWAP FINANCE CHIEF SURRENDERS, RECOVER LOGISTICS ITEMS Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have continued to sustain pressure on  terrorists through series of intelligence-led operations that resulted in the arrest of suspected terrorist collaborators, the surrender of the family members of a senior ISWAP commander, and the recovery of terrorist logistics items. In one of the operations conducted on 27 July 2026, troops of 5 Brigade arrested six ISWAP collaborators in Damasak, Borno State. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly generating funds for the terrorist group through the procurement and sale of cattle at designated markets in Gubio, Damasak and Ajuwango. Items recovered from the suspects included one Volkswagen Golf vehicle, vehicle keys, four mobile phones of different brands, cow meat and the sum of ₦317,950.00.  17 arraigned in Lagos court for urinating and defecating in public places


The Lagos state police command today February 19, arraigned 17 environmental offenders before the Magistrate Court sitting at Bolade, Oshodi, for urinating and defecating in public places.


The state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, who disclosed this on X, who disclosed this on X, said the court found the defendants guilty and sentenced each offender to pay a fine of N40,000 or serve one month imprisonment.


‘’Let this serve as a clear reminder that open urination and defecation are environmental offences and serious public health risks. Lagos State will continue to enforce sanitation laws firmly to protect public health, preserve human dignity and maintain order in our communities.


We urge residents to make use of available public sanitation facilities and comply with environmental regulations. Cleanliness is a shared responsibility.’’ Wahab wrote
