 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. TODAY, THE COURT GRANTS MALAMI, HIS WIFE, AND SON N200M BAIL EACH IN A MONEY LAUNDERING CASE.(PHOTO).


 Today, the court grants Malami, his wife, and son N200m bail each in a money laundering case.


Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to former Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) Abubakar Malami, his son Abdulaziz Malami, and his wife Asabe Bashir. Each defendant has been admitted to bail in the sum of N200 million, with stringent conditions attached to ensure compliance.


The ruling came on March 6, 2026, following a bail application filed by the former AGF after their re-arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The defendants face a 16-count charge related to alleged money laundering activities. All three pleaded not guilty during their court appearance on February 27, 2026.


As part of the bail terms, each defendant must provide two sureties in the like sum of N200 million. Notably, one of the sureties for each is required to deposit title deeds of properties located in the upscale areas of Maitama or Asokoro in Abuja. Additionally, the defendants have been ordered to surrender their international passports to the court registry. Until these conditions are fully met, they will remain in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Service.


The case has been adjourned to March 16, 2026, for the commencement of trial.
