  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.        The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin Zonal Office, today March 26, 2019 secured the conviction of Gilbert Akue (alias Barry Morgan) at the Federal High Court sitting in Benin City, Edo State presided over by Justice M. G.Umar. Akue was convicted on a one count charge of fraudulently impersonating the identity of one Barry Morgan on a dating site in order to hoodwinked his victims. He was said to have paraded himself as Barry Morgan with the intent to obtain money from one Miss Vivianwong and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 22(2)(b)(ii) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition Prevention etc) Act 2015 and punishable under Section 22(2)(b)(IV) of the same Act Upon arraignment, Akue pleaded guilty to the charge.       The Oyo State Government has been given an efficiency award as the Cashless Driver State Government for 2018 in the annual Electronic Payments Incentive Scheme (EPIS) by the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc (NIBSS).       The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences Unit (Task Force) has suspended a paramilitary officer of the Agency for extorting money from an arrested traffic offender in Ikorodu. Disclosing details of the incident, Chairman of the Lagos State Task Force, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi said the suspension became imperative following complaints against the officer on the social media and subsequent investigation of the accused staff. Egbeyemi said investigations revealed that the officer, Mr. Ikuburuju Alex, truly negotiated and extorted the sum of N30,000 from the owner of an impounded vehicle who committed a traffic offence by plying the 'BRT' lane around Agric Bus-Stop in Ikorodu.         The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Port Harcourt Zonal Office, on Monday, March 25, 2019 arraigned the duo of Ibrahim Abba and Isah Magaji before Justice M.L Abubakar of the Federal High Court, sitting in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital on a three-count charge, bordering on conspiracy and dealing in petroleum products without license. Abba and Magaji ran into troubled when they were arrested  in January, 2019 on East West Road, Port Harcourt, by the Nigerian Army Corps of Military Police, 6 Division, Port Harcourt with about twenty thousand (20,000) litres of petroleum products without any operating license as petroleum dealers and were handed over to the EFCC for prosecution.         The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu has disclosed that the money stolen by 32 entities (human and corporate) between 2011 and 2015, is well over N1.3 trillion. Magu disclosed this in his keynote address at the opening ceremony of the 2019 First Batch Conversion Training Programme to Procurement Cadre for Federal Parastatal and Agencies, organised by the Bureau of Public Procurement, BPP, in Lagos on Monday, March 25, 2019.
