  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. The Command hereby seeks assistance from members of the public for possible identification of the victim and other  information that will facilitate the ongoing investigative proceedings. A spot observation by the Police responding team and report from eyewitnesses at the scene reveals that the victim was shot in the stomach by suspected armed men who abandoned his lifeless body and fled the scene.  Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Robbing Artisan, NYSC Member An Ikeja High Court has sentenced Ayomide Olayemi to 10 years imprisonment for robbing an artisan and a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member of their belongings. Justice Modupe Nicol-Clay delivered the sentence based on a plea bargain agreement, which Olayemi willingly entered. The offences, committed in December 2018, included stealing ATM cards, an NYSC ID card, a driver’s license, a Samsung mobile phone, and cash. The sentence is retroactive to January 3, 2019, the date of Olayemi's remand.

 Mozambique president discussed LNG project with TotalEnergies’ CEO Mozambique’s President Daniel Chapo has met with Patrick Pouyanne, the chief executive of TotalEnergies, to discuss the company’s stalled $20 billion liquefied natural gas project in the southern African country, Reuters reported. Mozambique LNG, which had been slated to restart construction by the end of 2024 and begin producing gas in 2029, saw that deadline slip when the French oil major last week ⁠confirmed that force majeure had yet to be lifted on the project, due to security concerns and pending export credit approvals. “During the conversation, Pouyanne reaffirmed TotalEnergies’ commitment to resuming the project, currently suspended since 2021, due to security challenges in the region,” Chapo said in a post on X.
