Only lazy Nigerians depend on markets for food — Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi The Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi, has come under criticism after saying Nigerians who rely on markets for food are “lazy”, as he urged citizens to embrace farming to tackle rising food prices. Nwaebonyi, who represents Ebonyi North Senatorial District, made the statement during an interview on The Mic On Podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye which was published on August 1 with clips going viral on Friday, while defending the economic policies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Responding to concerns over food inflation and the rising cost of living, the senator said the government alone could not be held responsible for the prices of commodities in the market, arguing that citizens also had a role to play. “Do you expect Tinubu to moderate the prices of garri in the market?       Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli who shared a video two hours ago today,on how she met two video CD hawkers who is selling movies that are being shown in the cinemas and yet to be released to the market.From the video,the two men claimed that they downloaded it from Netflix.One of the movie I can see from the video is the movie 'Chief Daddy',even when she asked the CD Vendor where he got the cd's from he claimed the movie is out,she was like no the movie is not out and only shown in the cinemas,before another vendor jumped in to say ,''where did you upload it,did you upload it on the internet or Netflix?',and she was like you got it from Netflix?.She was really sad when she was driving off.A lot of people should put it in mind that before you use anybody's intellectual property you must take permission,and if the person expressly decline,please don't go ahead to use their work.Movie producers are becoming frustrated because they invest so much money in making a movie and gain nothing and even lose their capital,that is not encouraging.Omoni Oboli captioned the video ''HELP!!!
