 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. Lawmaker Presents Ambulances, Empowerment Materials to About 500 IDPs 

The member representing Chibok, Damboa and Gwoza Federal Constituency in Borno state, Honourable Ahmed Jaha has presented empowerment materials to about five hundred Internally displaced persons and other vulnerable people of his constituency. 

At a ceremony in Government House Maiduguri, Governor Babagana Zulum commended the member for empowering his constituents who have been devastated by the Boko Haram insurgency. 

Governor Zulum promised to provide more developmental projects to the area and also complete existing ones. 

Some of the projects according to the Governor include completion of Chibok-Mbalala road, construct of new General hospital in Damboa, deploy modern equipment to enhance mechanise farming and collaborate with the Federal government to rehabilitate the Maiduguri-Damboa road. 

The member representing Chibok, Damboa and Gwoza Federal Constituency Honourable Ahmed Jaha said this is the fifteenth empowerment programme since his election in the last four years. 

According to him, the intervention is geared towards complementing the post insurgency recovery effort of the state government. 

The Lawmaker explained that four ambulances were donated by Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation NDIC at a total cost of fourty five million naira each, would be distributed to four hospitals in Gwoza, Damboa, Chibok and Ngoshe.

Correspondence Dauda Iliya reports that other items distributed by the Hon Jaha include thirteen utility buses, 360 refrigerators and 100 sewing machines.
