 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. GOV. UZODIMMA REITERATES THE COMMITMENT OF THE PROGRESSIVE GOVERNORS' FORUM TO THE UNITY OF APC 


The Imo State Governor and the Chairman of the Progressive Governors' Forum (PGF), Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has given assurance of the forum's support and commitment to the continued peace and unity in the All Progressive Congress (APC). 

Governor Uzodimma gave this assurance after the meeting between
the Progressive Governors' Forum (PGF) and the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressive Congress party, (APC) at the party's Headquarters in Abuja.

The Governor denied any rancor between the National Assembly and the party leadership, stressing that the National Assembly leadership are all members of the All Progressive Congress.

He stated that the Progressive Governors remain supportive of the "Renewed Hope" project of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government and the leadership of the National Assembly.
