 M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Rwanda denies supporting M23 and has blamed Congolese and Burundian forces for the renewed fighting. NON-VERBAL MAN DIES AFTER BEING LEFT IN 134 DEGREE WATER FOR ALMOST AN HOUR. (PHOTO).

 Non-verbal man dies after being left in 134 degree water for almost an hour.


An elderly resident Hopemont Hospital in Preston County, West Virginia has passed away after a thermostat malfunctioned in a therapeutic whirlpool causing the water to heat up to 134 degrees.


The non-verbal man, who required round the clock care, was left unattended for 47 minutes in the whirlpool. According to reports, the staff of the facility knew about the faulty thermostat for 30 days but had taken no actions to fix it.


Mike Folio, legal director of Disability Rights of West Virginia stated, "It looks like his skin has melted. Imagine if you're in a whirlpool of scalding water for 47 minutes but you can't verbalize pain." He then went on to discuss an email sent to staff from an RN employed there warning of the malfunctioning whirlpool and the dangers it posed to patients. 


This is a heartbreaking story and I cannot imagine the amount of suffering this man experienced before passing away. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and the fellow residents of Hopemont Hospital.
