 Lagos Court Jails NOGASA Chair, Fatuyi Phillips 21 Years  for N43.5m Fraud    Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Monday, November 18, 2024, convicted and sentenced Fatuyi Yemi Philips, Chairman, Natural Oil and Gas Suppliers Association of Nigeria, NOGASA, to 21 years imprisonment for N43.5m fraud.   The Lagos Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on April 5, 2022, arraigned Philips alongside his firm, Oceanview Oil and Gas Limited, on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N43, 502,000.00   Count one reads: "Fatuyi Yemi Philips and Oceanview Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited, on or about the 28th day of September, 2016 at Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, with intent to defraud, obtained the aggregate sum of N43, 502,000.00 from Elochukwu Okoye and Elebana Unique Ventures Nigeria Limited on behalf of WAPCIL Nigeria Limited under the false rep

 LASG ANNOUNCES TRAFFIC DIVERSION FROM OSBORNE/DOLPHIN TO SURA, ADENIJI-ADELE LINK BRIDGE FOR ROAD ASPHALT PAVEMENT



The Lagos State Government has announced that traffic will be diverted from Osborne/Dolphin Estate to Sura enroute Adeniji-Adele Link Bridge from 12.00 am tonight, Saturday, 27th July to 5.00 am on Monday, 29th July, 2024 for asphalt pavement of the road.


Consequently, Motorists are advised to use the following alternative routes:


Scene 1                                                                                      


Motorists from Osborne/Dolphin Estate are advised to connect Sura Link Bridge to Adeniji-Adele to access the Third Mainland Bridge to continue with their journeys


Scene 2


Motorists from the State House at Marina are to connect Obalende to link Simpson Bridge inward Sura to access Adeniji Adele to link the Third Mainland Bridge for their desired destinations.


The Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi assured that the State Traffic Management Personnel will be on ground to manage vehicular movement and reduce inconveniences.


Advisory: - Motorists are implored to be patient and adhere to the direction of movements by the Traffic Management Personnel.
