 PDP Hails INEC’s Publication Of 2027 Candidates The Peoples Democratic Party has welcomed the publication by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of the names of candidates for the 2027 general election, describing the development as a proof of doubts over its ability to field a presidential candidate had been laid to rest. A statement issued in Abuja by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Jungudo Haruna Mohammed, said the release of the names of its presidential candidate, Senator Sandy Ojang Onor, and running mate, Alhaji Babangida Umar, alongside its National Assembly candidates, marked a significant milestone in its preparations for the 2027 polls. The Party noted that the publication had effectively dispelled months of speculation and what it described as misinformation by political opponents who had claimed the party would be unable to present a presidential candidate. The faithful of Blessed Tansi Chapel gathered to m0urn the d€mise of one of the vict!ms of the unf0rtunate incident that occurred on Christ the King Procession of the year 2024. 


The Catholic Bishop of Aba, Most Rev Augustine Ndubueze Echema who presided at the Funeral Mass eulogized the saintly personality of little Amarachi and consoled the family for this tragic l0ss. He prayed that God grants the family the f0rtitude to bear this irreparable l0ss. "This Mass," he stated, "is for the faithful rep0se of her soul." "We truly believe that Amarachi is in God's hand for she lived and di€d in the act of praising and singing hosanna to the King of Kings."
