     Kylian Mbappe will donate money earned from featuring in the 2018 World Cup tournament in Russia to a sports charity that work with disabled and hospitalised children, Premiers de Cordee. According to Sports Illustrated, the 19-year-old was paid £17,000 per game, and pocketed £265,000 for being part of the team who won the tournament. Speaking to Le Parisien, Premier de Cordee charity general manager, Sebastian Ruffin said: “Kylian, he’s a great person. “When his schedule allows it, he intervenes for us with pleasure. “He has a very good [relationship] with children, he always finds the right [words] to encourage them. “I sometimes even feel that [he] takes more pleasure to play with the kids than the kids themselves.” Mbappe, who joined PSG for a fee of around £166m from Monaco after a season-long loan, was named Young Player of the World Cup.Mbappe became the first teenager to score in a World Cup final since Pele in 1958.

     The trial of a former Governor of Plateau State Jonah Jang, accused of misappropriating state funds to the tune of N6.3billion has been adjourned to October 30, 2018. Jang, a serving senator, is standing trial before Justice Daniel Longji of the Plateau State High Court sitting in Jos on a 12-count charge of abuse of office and misappropriation of funds preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commissio n, EFCC.He is being prosecuted alongside a cashier in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Yusuf Gyang Pam, who was also accused of using his office for personal enrichment to the tune of N11.5million. Specifically, Jang allegedly embezzled some special funds released to the state by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, for disbursement to Small and Medium Enterprises in the State under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Funds, MSMEDF, two months to the end of his tenure as governor in 2015.The matter which was slate...

       Paddy Kerr, Anti-Corruption Lead-United Kingdom National Crime Agency, Nigeria, has described the Digital Forensic Laboratory of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, as a "Centre of Excellence" for every law enforcement agency in Nigeria.   According to him, the United Kingdom government had invested £500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand Pounds) in the digital forensic capability of the EFCC.  He added that, “the UK is in the process of building a digital forensic suite that will enable the agency to ethically and lawfully extract evidence from digital devices”.Kerr made this known on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, during a two-day capacity building workshop, organized by the U.K. National Crime Agency, NCA, for all the Zonal Heads of EFCC at Sheraton Hotels, Abuja.       17th July, 2018 PRESS STATEMENT Nigeria Customs Service records improved performance in 2018 year reports with revenue collection of N556,774,889,977.64 and 1927 seizures as against N486,728,302,625.150 and 3798 seizures from January to June 2017. This shows increasing level of compliance, giving rise to more revenue and less seizures. Some strategic actions taken that were responsible for the positive difference of N70,046,587,352.54 include: 1. Blockage of identified revenue leakages by the Tariff and Trade Department. 2. Introduction of Nigeria Integrated Customs Information System II, (NICIS II). 3. Trade analysis and timely audit of the system to enhance revenue collection among others.
