  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  Zimbabwean Serial Rapist Sentenced to Life Plus 76 Years The Thohoyandou High Court, sitting at Waterval, has sentenced 37-year-old Zimbabwean national, Gift Madau, to life imprisonment plus 76 years for multiple counts of rape and compelled sexual assault. The sentence was delivered on Thursday, 04 September 2025, after he was convicted for raping five women aged between 23 and 55 in the Thohoyandou area. The crimes date back to 2021. On 06 April of that year, Madau attacked four women collecting firewood in Khubvi village. Armed with a panga and wearing a balaclava, he raped them at knifepoint, with one victim being assaulted multiple times. On 17 May 2021, he targeted two women in Vhufuki village. He raped one victim while forcing the other to watch but abandoned his attempt to rape the second woman after she became severely traumatized. The victims later reported the incidents.  Robber Shot Dead During Attempted Church Robbery in Kwaggafontein A suspected robber was shot and killed during an attempted robbery at a church gathering in Kwaggafontein near KwaMhlanga. According to reports, a group of armed robbers stormed the church, targeting attendees, including a group of Pakistan nationals, near KwaMahlangu Butchery. In the process, two congregants were shot and later rushed to hospital for medical treatment. One of the suspects, identified as Melusi Mabena from KwaMhlanga, was fatally wounded during the incident and died at the scene.

 Five Suspects Arrested Following Series of Robberies Five suspects, aged between 19 and 30, were arrested on the N4 Road near the Kanyamazane turn-off on Saturday, 06 September 2025. Police recovered two firearms, several mobile phones, and other stolen items during the arrest. The breakthrough follows two robbery incidents earlier in the day. The first took place at a church in Ngwenyeni near Komatipoort around 03:30 in the morning. During the attack, a 14-year-old boy was injured when the suspects fired shots. He was taken to hospital for medical treatment. The second robbery occurred at a tavern in Madadeni, also near Komatipoort, in the Nkomazi area. Meanwhile, in a separate incident on Friday evening, 05 September 2025, a 22-year-old suspect was fatally shot after allegedly robbing congregants at a mosque in Kwaggafontein.  Texas police officer returns home after working an overnight shift only to discover an unspeakable crime inside of his own home. Lt. Eseosa Ehanire (an officer with the China Grove Police Department) had returned to his home at 5 a.m. on the morning of September 3rd.  Upon entering his Universal City, Texas home on that fateful morning, Lt. Ehanire heard a blood curdling scream coming from his 9-year-old son's bedroom.  Lt. Ehanire rushed to his son's room only to find the door locked. Wasting no time, Lt. Ehanire forced his way into the room, only to find a scene straight out of a nightmare.  Lt. Ehanire's 9-year-old son, David, laid on his bed, bleeding profusely. Lt.  “Let me go in peace” – Jibrin bows out after NNPP expulsion A member of the House of Representatives representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency in Kano State, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has accepted his expulsion from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), albeit with strong criticism of the party’s internal processes. Jibrin, who previously served as the Director-General of President Bola Tinubu’s 2019 campaign, accused the opposition party of failing to adhere to due process in handling the matter.  The Kano State chapter of the NNPP had  announced Jibrin’s expulsion citing alleged anti-party activities.
