 Gov. Ododo’s Executive Proclamation Not State of Emergency  Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo  has clarified that his recent Executive Proclamation on security protocols in the state is not a declaration of a state of emergency but a set of necessary measures to enhance the security architecture to crackdown on criminals in all parts of the state.  This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Hon. Ismaila Isah, explaining that the proclamation is a lawful constitutional measure aimed at strengthening security coordination and protecting lives and property across Kogi State.  Gov. Ododo emphasized that it is within his powers as the Chief Security Officer of the state under Section 14 subsection 2(b) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended). ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNOR ASSURES IT'S CITIZENS OF NO EBOLA IN THE STATE.

                  On friday in Awka Anambra state,Governor Obiano made the clarification at the 2014 mothers summit and the inauguration of Caring family enhancement initiative of Anambra First Lady,Mrs Ebele Obiano.Obiano's statement came against the background of reported case of the return of the remains of an Ebola victim from Liberia to Anambra state.He said ''There is no Ebola case in Anambra state and by the grace of God there will never be.The rumour we have concerns one corpse that was brought from one of the West African countries.On our own we decided to take precaution.We were doing the proper thing to confirm that the corpse has nothing to do with Ebola.As we speak from preliminary reports.We have so far,there is no Ebola incident in Anambra state.I have told the police not to allow any corpse to be brought into Anambra by road or by air if that corpse does not have certificate confirming the cause of death.Wherever we see a corpse,we stop and find out what killed him/her before going further.It is only a precautionary measure as a responsible government to protect our people''.
