  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. THE DUKE OF SUSSEX ATTENDED THE OPENING MATCH OF THE CRICKET WORLD CUP YESTERDAY.{PHOTOS}.

     'The first ever Cricket World Cup took place in England in 1975 and I'm delighted that the UK will once again play host to this wonderful global sporting event featuring ten incredible teams who, thanks to the UK’s cultural diversity, will feel as though they are competing in front of a home crowd every time they take to the field.'
Yesterday, The Duke of Sussex attended the opening match of the Cricket World Cup which featured England vs South Africa.
The ICC Cricket World Cup, which takes place from 30th May to 14th July, is being hosted by England and Wales and features the world’s top ten teams, nine of whom are from the Commonwealth.
Over one million people are expected to attend matches and World Cup activations in England and Wales, with a further 1.5 billion watching around the world.
Before the match began, The Duke met children involved in youth engagement programmes around the tournament including flag bearers, anthem children and students from a local school who will be involved in the opening sequences.More photos below.
