 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

LAGOS CANCELS MONTHLY ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION DAY.

             The Lagos State Government on wednesday terminated the monthly environmental sanitation exercise which hitherto held for three hours on the last saturday of every month.The State Government,in a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy,Mr Steve Ayorinde ,said the decision to cancel the monthly exercise followed a resolution arrived at wednesday's Executive Council meeting which approved the need for a robust review of the environmental laws and procedures in the state in order to meet the present day challenges and to promote a clean and healthy environment.The Government noted that considering the present economic situation in the country,it was no longer appropriate to restrict movement of people for three hours in a mega city like Lagos at a time they should be pursuing commercial and entrepreneurial activities.According to government,in the last two decades,Lagos has grown exponentially into a mega city with the atten...

                         I shared one article on Whasapp captioned ''BEWARE IT IS SNAKE SEASON!!!!'' which was sent to me by someone on my contact The article was saying that ''Due to the heatwave and high temperatures,snakes,especially Cobras,seek refuge in cooler places like inside your home''.So i sent it to other people on my whasapp contact list and was shocked about the feedback i received from them and almost all of them were saying they have sited or either killed snakes inside their various and someone even sent me 2 photos of the snake they just killed inside of their house two hours before i sent the article to her.This is a very serious problem and we should not over look the safety tips that were shared along with the article.                 The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC,today wednesday 23,November 2016,arraigned two Lebanese,Imad Harb and Toni Harb,along with their company: Transparent Construction Nig. Ltd before Justice E.N Oluedo of the State High Court Enugu,for allegedly conspiring and obtaining the sum of N1,760,000.00 {One Million Seven Hundred and Sixty Thousand Naira only} from one Desmond Ogadinma and subsequently issuing a postdated cheque that was returned unpaid.While taking their plea,the accused persons pleaded not guilty on all counts of the three count charge preferred against them by the EFCC.In view of their plea,the defense counsel Barr.                   According to sources,an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency {LASTMA} was allegedly beaten to pulp earlier today wednesday in the Ajah area of Lagos State.In a series of tweets on LASRMA's Twitter handle,the agency narrated how their man was assaulted by the police officers on escort duties.The policeman reportedly handcuffed the traffic officer and made him lie on the floor in his uniform while the attack continued.The LASTMA official was later rescued and the officer arrested,More photos below.
