"Like I stated in my previous post that I was going there to eat only, my intention was to go and eat and watch the cooking marathon, but when I got there, I met another thing. We were actually two who went together. Follow me as I gist you. We got there and met some people outside, we asked for the exact place and they directed us to the ushers.  We got there and we were told there's VIP and regular. Regular are those downstairs and won't eat out of the food while VIP are the ones upstairs and have access to take pictures and videos of the chef and still eat food. They further added that VIP costs #1,000. We asked if the 1k covers the 120hrs or just 24hrs and they told us it covers just today, that we're going to eat all the food she will prepare. Former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has applauded President Bola Tinubu’s suspension of Godwin Emefiele as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). Last night, President Tinubu suspended Emefiele and directed him to immediately hand over to the Apex bank’s Deputy Governor (Operations Directorate) Folashodun Shonubi. Reacting to the development, Wike who was one of the critics of Emefiele’s policies, especially the Naira redesign, described the President’s decision as bold and timely. The former Rivers State Governor also commanded President Tinubu for approving uniformity in the retirement age and pension of judicial officers in the country, according to a statement by his media team. He said the President’s action will introduce a new lease of life to the nation’s judiciary. Wike noted that he and other G5 members are impressed that the President is showing “focused and exemplary leadership that will lead the county to prosperity.”

Poly Nasarawa Wins ICPC’s Tertiary Institutions Inter-School Debate Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa State has won the maiden edition of anti-corruption inter-school debate organised by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for some selected tertiary institutions in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and neighbouring states. The debate, held at the ICPC’s Headquarters had participants from the University of Abuja; Baze University, Abuja; Veritas University, Bwari, Abuja; Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State; Federal Polytechnic, Toto, Nasarawa State and Federal College of Education, Zuba, Niger State. NSHA Crisis: Court Urged To Stop Balarabe, Kudu From Parading Selves As Speaker, Deputy  *** A Federal High Court, Lafia has been urged to stop Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi Balarabe (APC, Ugya/Umaisha) and Mr Jacob Ajegana Kudu (APC, Nassarawa Eggon East) from parading themselves as speaker and deputy speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA).  The court was also urged to make “an order nullifying the purported oath of office taken on the 6th day of June, 2023,” by Balarabe, Kudu and nine other members-elect, listed as 1st-11th defendants in the suit FHC/LF/CS/8/23, at the Conference Room of the Nasarawa State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Lafia or anywhere outside the assembly’s parliamentary chambers.
