INTERPOL Seeks EFCC's Collaboration in Tackling Organised Crime Groups The International Criminal Police Organization, INTERPOL, has sought the collaboration of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC to tackle organized criminal groups, across the West-African sub-region.  This request was made on Thursday, September 21, 2023, when a delegation of INTERPOL, led by the coordinator of the criminal networks sub-directorate of its organized crime unit, Pascal Progin, visited the Corporate Headquarters of the EFCC, in Jabi, Abuja. Security Operatives Cracked Down On Sagamu Cultists, House of Assembly Member, Six Others In DSS Net  Security operatives in Ogun State on Wednesday tracked six suspected cultists, allegedly involved in the violence that erupted in Sagamu at the weekend to the official residence of a member of the state House of Assembly. The member, representing Sagamu State Constituency (1), Hon. Damilare Bello Mohammed, was alleged to have provided shelter to the fleeing cultists. A team of security operatives, in a sting operation after a tip-off, arrested the suspects in the premises of the lawmaker. Those arrested, according to sources, include Damilare Bello Mohammed aka DRE, Debbo Animashaun, Bamidele Saheed, Ismaila Onitire, Adewale Otesanya and Tobi Owoade. 21 Suspected Bandits Neutralised in Kebbi   At least 21 suspected bandits have been killed by security agencies in collaboration with vigilantees and the locals in Danko Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi.  Speaking to Radio Nigeria, the Council Chairman, Alhaji Hussani Aliyu-Bena said  Danko Wasagu shares boarder with Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State where the bandits got access to Kebbi State. According to him, the incident started on Monday up to Wednesday, adding that the bandits came through Mariga into Tudun Bichi under Wasagu but a credible intelligence kept the security agencies, vigilante group and locals on alert which led to a successful ambush. He said the locals in collaboration with vigilante killed 17 suspected bandits recovered arms, ammunations and motorcycles, while two locals were killed. Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty sentenced to house arrest for threatening Offset Kenneth Petty, the husband of popular American rapper, Nicki Minaj, has been sentenced to 120 days of house arrest. Petty was sentenced for violating the terms of his probation by posting videos that appeared to threaten Cardi B’s husband, Offset, on social media. In a court order filed in the Central District of California on Wednesday, Petty was ordered to undertake home monitoring after he “was recorded making threatening remarks to a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record”. Rapper Offset was mentioned as a specific individual in the order and the clips relate to a series of messages Petty aimed at the rapper that appeared on the internet on September 16th. Petty and some of his entourage are seen in the viral video outside a New York City hotel where Offset was reportedly residing.
