Tinubu forgave Northern govs who opposed him in 2023, says Shettima Vice President Kashim Shettima has said President Bola Tinubu demonstrated political maturity by forgiving northern governors who opposed his presidential bid in the 2023 election, urging politicians in Kwara State to similarly reconcile after their contests. Shettima stated this on Wednesday in Ilorin while speaking at the turbaning of the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, as the Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari. Police Unveil Prime Suspect In Mohbad’s Death The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa, has named an auxiliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedemgbe, as the prime suspect in the death of singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad. Addressing the media at the state Command headquarters, Ikeja, Lagos, on Friday, Owohunw said a total of 26 persons, including Mohbad’s family members, had been grilled in connection with his death. “As of today, a total of 26 witnesses have been interviewed,” the CP said. “At about 14:35hrs of 12th September 2023, Miss Feyisayo eventually arrived. Customs CG storms Ogun as Command seizes rice, weeds, used tyres, others The Acting Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Adewale Adeniyi, on Friday stormed Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital following the seizure of various smuggled goods by the Ogun 1 Area Command. Adeniyi, who was flanked by the Controller of the Command, Ahmadu Bello Shuaib, said the Command, in two weeks, intercepted 1,436 used pneumatic tyres, 53 sacks, and 569 parcels of Cannabis Sativa, weighing a total of 1,179 kilograms. The Service also seized 3,149 bags of foreign parboiled rice, each weighing 50 kilograms, alongside 32 vehicles used for conveyance, among other items,” Adeniyi stated. The 30-year-old former Manchester United player, a World Cup winner in 2018, faces a ban of up to four years. The original test by the Italian anti-doping agency (Nado) showed the presence of testosterone metabolites. On Friday, Pogba learned that the analysis of his B sample, carried out on the previous day, had produced the same result. The player’s entourage declined to comment. Under the World Anti-Doping Code, Pogba is liable to a four-year suspension, which could be halved if he proves that he was not at fault.
