Chadland will hold the presidential election on 6 May. Chadian presidential election will be held on May 6, which will end three years of military rule after President Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno ascended to power after his father's death in 2021. Election Commission chairman Ahmed Bartchiret has announced important dates for the presidential election during a meeting with press in the capital, N'Djamena, according to Tchadinfos private website. Bartchiret emphasized the importance of conducting pre-summer polls, where he asked technical and financial partners to cooperate with the national election program. While President Deby has not yet declared his resignation officially, opposition have urged him not to seek another preacher Deby, 38, has promised to organize elections in 18 months after he joined power in April 2021. However, his military government continued to hold power, whereas it increased its tenure by 18 months. 

 Press Statement TINUBU TO COMMISSION REDLINE TRAIN ON THURSDAY The President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), will commission the Red Line train on Thursday, 29th February, 2024.  The train is the first phase of the project, which will run from Agbado in Ogun State to Oyingbo in the heart of Lagos. The train, when fully operational, will run 37 trips and convey about 500,000 passengers daily. The commissioning will signal the take-off of another major game changer in the state’s transportation infrastructure. It brings to two the rail lines owned and operated by the Lagos State Government. The first, The Blue Line, runs from Marina to Mile 2. The first phase of the Red Line has eight stations, namely Agbado, Iju, Agege, Ikeja, Oshodi, Mushin, Yaba and Oyingbo. An Ile-Ife based cleric, Most Superior Evangelist Olagbaju Morris Gbade Fadehan, has been reportedly murdered by his assistant, Evangelist Olalekan Ogundipe. It was gathered that the deceased, Fadehan, was reportedly set ablaze on Monday evening by his assistant, Ogundipe, after a conflict degenerated into a fight. The incident occurred at Celestial Church of Christ, Grace of Parish Omitoto, Ile-Ife. A source who preferred anonymity disclosed to journalists that the problem started after the close of work when the deceased had an argument with his assailant.
