Catholic Priests Not Like ‘Fake Bishops’, Atiku Blasts Presidency’s Attack On Onaiyekan Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress ADC, Atiku Abubakar, has condemned the Presidency’s attack on the Catholic Church and John Cardinal Onaiyekan, accusing the President Bola Tinubu administration of growing intolerant of dissent and uncomfortable truths. In a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu on Sunday, Atiku said the Presidency chose intimidation and political attacks instead of reflecting on the substance of the cleric’s message. Catholic bishops had recently had an engagement with the president, where the latter defended his record and the independence of the electoral umpire. Lagos seeks help in locating woman seen assaulting baby in viral video The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) has called on the public to help in locating a woman seen in video maltreating a baby for urinating on the floor. The agency, who condemned the act in a post it shared on its verified X handle @LSdsva on Saturday, urged the public to help locate the woman. In the video which went viral on Saturday, the woman was seen beating the baby with a rod. She ignored the baby’s cry. The woman further pushed the baby to the ground and stepped on the infant’s stomach with her two legs. “It cannot be ascertained if the perpetrator in the video is the mother of the child or a maid”.
