 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. SHEIK MUHAMMED ALBANI,WIFE AND SON SHOT DEAD BY BOKO HARAM.

       Today sunday,report reaching my desk says a popular muslim cleric,Sheikh Muhammed Albani,his wife and child was shot dead by suspected Boko haram members at Zaria city in Kaduna state.He was said to have criticised the Islamic extremist group.Un identified gun men shot at him and his family at about 10.30pm on saturday in Zaria,as he drove home from teaching a theology classs.His wife and son were immediately hit while the gun men appeared to have dragged the cleric from the car and shot him at close range.He died shortly after he was admitted to the hospital.He was buried today sunday by 10.am.Malam musa mai-shawi an Islamic cleric and also the chieg imam od Drul Hadith,a school established by Albani,to day cautioned people agsinst retaliation attack,following the assasination of Albani.She said this during the funeral prayers,and he also said ''Though the death of Albani was painful,everything should be left to God''.
