 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. SEVEN PEOPLE,KILLED IN ABUJA NATIONAL STADIUM.

Photo            Seven people have been killed in a stamped at Abuja's National Stadium during a recruitment drive for the immigration service,on saturday.Officials said only one entrance to the 60,000 capacity stadium was open during the aptitude test for applicants to join the immigration service.Seven people were counted at the National Hospital,where the dead and injured were taken.Tayo Haastrup,spokeman of the hospital said,there were several injured in a critical but stable condition.Olisa Metua,the spoke man for the Peoples Democratic party {PDP}says ''We are shocked and deeply saddened by the news of the untimely death of the young citizens who  were at the exercise not only to secure jobs but to be allowed the opportunity to contribute towards the development of the nation''.                                                                                         Applicants struggle to submit copies of their acknowledgement forms to an immigration officer during a recruitment drive for the Nigeria Immigration Service at the National Stadium in Abuja March 15, 2014.
