 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. 2 FOREIGN UN WORKERS KILLED IN SOMALIA.

              According to an international broadcasting network,a Briton and a Frenchman working for the United Nations were shot dead today monday at an airport in north central Somalia.A,United Nation mission spokeman said it was not clear who was behind the killings.But one witness said the pair were attacked by a man in a police uniform while they sat in their car at Galkayo airport.The UN which has spent billions of dollars in Somalia since the out break of civil war 1991,has often been targeted by warring clan factions,most recently by Al Qaeda aligned Islamist group Al Shaab.Nicholas Kay,the UN special Representative for Somalia,condemed the callous killing but said the organization remaind committed to contiuing our vital support to the Somali people as they emerge from decades of conflict.
