 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. GOV.OKOROCHA TO EVACUATE STREET TRADERS.

                              According to sources,the Governor of Imo state,who is also known for his humanitarian nature towards the poor,has charged the Imo Civil Guards to evacuate street traders on Douglas and other roads in Owerri,to maintain sanity in the state capital.On friday,Sam Onwuemeodo,the Special Adviser on media said ''The Civil Guard is a security outfit setup bu the state Goverment to maintain peace and order.That the governor gave the order while addressing officers of the guard in Owerri''.Oorocha urged them to assist the state governments to relocate the street traders on Douglas road to the relief market in order to de-congest the state capital.Director General,Imo Civil Guards,Donatus Ejifugha,assured the governor that the officers would carry out their function diligently without fear or favour.
