NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges. A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters and two H-125 helicopters. The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. A 22 year old student Sean Collins became a human fire ball after a doorman/bouncer deliberately set fire to his fancy dress sheep costume.His costume was a cotton wool balls,and the party was a friends 21st birthday party held in a night club.When he was engulfed inflames,it took him ten seconds to rip the burning costume off during which he suffered horrific burns to his and arms.He was rushed to a hospital where medics said he had sustained 12 percent burns to his body and needed several skin grafts and extensive hospital treatment.The doorman/bouncer whom he never met,was seen in the footage holding a cigarette lighter to his costume.The doorman/bouncer,a father of two children,24 years old Thomas McGuiess from Chorley,Lanscashire was jailed for 18 months at Preston Crown court after admitting unlawful wounding.More photos below.
