NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges. A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters and two H-125 helicopters. The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. Don and Maxime Simpson,who have been married for 62 years,saw till death do them part when they died four hours apart last week.One of their grand daughter Mellisa Sloann said ''I knew in my heart this is what is supposed to happen.Grandma and Grandpa are supposed to be together and grandma and grandpa are going to die together''.Two weeks ago,Don was at home when he fell,breaking his hip.He was taken to the hospital but his health continued to decline.At the same time,the cancer his wife had been fighting have started progressing as well.Their family members moved them together to a spare room in their family home.They kept them together and had their beds side by side.Their Grand daughter further said ''They both woke up,saw each other and held hands and they knew they were next to each other,it was not long after that,holding her husband's hand,that my grandma took her last breath before grandpa quit breathing as soon as her body left the room''.They both met in Bakersfield and decided to raise their two sons there as well.Oh this is what i call love,standing by each other,till death do them part.I pray most marriage will begin with love and end with love {fin}.More photos below.
