NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. A homosexual allegedly murdered his sex partner he met on facebook in a hotel room in Lagos.24 year old Michael Okorocha and the manager of the hotel situated at Oke Afa area of Lagos,was arrested over the murder of the 20 year old Okere Chinedu John.Michael Okorocha,allegedlly used a jack knife and sliced John's throat in the hotel room and he bled to death.Okorocha who resides at Mafon area of Ogun state,allegedly lured John who resides in Lekki Ajah area to the hotel to have sex with him.While they were inside the room,John resisted Okoracha's attempt to have sex with him and in anger Okorocha used a knife and sliced John's throat.After the incident,Okorocha reportedly lied to the hotel staff on duty that he wanted to buy something outside the hotel and he escaped.The police have charged Okorocha before Ebute Metta magistrate court with murder.
Too late for blames, but why did the deceased go to the hotel,if he had no intention of consummation ?puzzled.
