 Zambia president approves law expanding parliament months before election Zambia's President Hakainde Hichilema on Thursday signed into law constitutional changes that will expand the country's parliament, Reuters reported. The changes increase the number of members of parliament to around 280 from 167 currently by creating more constituencies, reserving 40 new seats for women, youth and people with disabilities, and allowing the president to appoint 11 members instead of eight previously. Hichilema, who will run for a second presidential term in the August 2026 election, said during a signing ceremony that the changes were being made in good faith and there was adequate consultation. He previously argued that some constituencies were too big for effective service delivery and should be split into smaller ones. DOZENS OF PEOPLE KILLED BY BOKO HARAM IN BORNO STATE.

           Yesterday wednesday,gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram Islamist group attacked Gwoza town.They raided the town which is 83 miles from Maiduguri before dawn,forcing the residents to flee their homes.A resident named James said ''Dozens of people have been killed by the attackers,some were slaughtered and many others shot with guns.The attackers also burnt down the Divisional Police Headquarters,the Local Government Secretariat and other public buildings in the town.They have scared hundreds of residents to flee to flee to the mountains along Nigeria and Cameroon borders''.There is Ebola in Nigeria and Boko Haram is still killing and bombing,which one is the worst virus from the two because for now they don't have a cure for the two outbreak?.
