 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. 30 OKADA'S {BIKES} WERE SEIZED BY TASK FORCE IN LAGOS.

Okada Seized                Lagos state Task Force on Environmental and Special Offences Unit claimed they impounded the okada's {bike's} because they were plying certain routes in the state which they are banned from plying.Some okada's were arrested yesterday at Iju-Ishaga while today tuesday most of the bike riders abandoned their bikes and took to their heels to avoid being arrested and prosecuted.Task force Chairman Mr Bayo Sulaiman said ''Residents in Lagos have been complaining that okada riders were back in full force plying prohibited routes and obstructing traffic in the area.During a raid on Computer village Ikeja on monday evening,it was discovered that many of the traders were back on the streets hawking their wares once again.Lots of people believed that we have relaxed in enforcement but we did not.We will ensure that places like Oshodi and Obalende that have been trading and street hawking are well policed so that the traders and area boys {miscreants},do not come back to turn these places to nuisance''.
