 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. TARABA STATE GOVERNOR GARBA UMAR,SACKED BY THE SUPREME COURT TODAY.

                   Today friday,Garba Umar,the acting Governor of Taraba state,was sacked by the Supreme court,and the Supreme court ordered the reinstatement of Abubakar Danladi,a former Deputy Governor who was impeached before Mr Umar took over.Seven Justices of the court agreed with the ruling,delivered by Justice Sylvester Ngwuta.The court said Mr Danladi was denied fair hearing.The court also said it was illegal for 19 members of the State House of Assembly who prepared the impeachment notice to have sat at a Guest House belonging to the majority leader.Justice Ngwuta,described the impeachment panel as a ''Kangaroo Panel'' and said that there was a conspiracy between the impeachment panel and the Law makers.
