 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. GOVERNOR FASHOLA APPEALS TO HEALTH WORKERS,NOT TO GO ON STRIKE AGAIN.

                             Governor Raji Fashola,made these appeal at Sheraton Hotel Ikeja,Lagos,at the 2015 State Council on Health,that ''I ask this not for myself,i as it for the public that you serve.I have said it repeatedly and i will say it again,you are like God on earth and God does not go on strike.And i believe that when all is said and done,we cannot live a life without government  and differences''.Gover Fashola said that when he was a young Lawyer,he and some of  his colleagues planned to go on strike,late Chief FRA Williams heard about it and summoned us and warned that that he would be the first to petition against them as Lawyers do not  go on strike.''Now i don't know how physicians see themselves,but i know how i see them.When you lie down and you are ill,that is the time the full weight of a physician dawns on you.I told some people the other day that the physicians and the nurses are the only people who can tell you not to go out today and you won't argue.It is an awesome power''.
